01General Presentation
The NETSTAT RF-U64 is a compact mechanical keyboard in the 60% format (61 keys), with tactile mechanical switches and per-key RGB lighting. It has a carry strap on the side and a large 2000 mAh battery.
It connects in 5 ways: three Bluetooth devices (BT1, BT2, BT3), one computer through the 2.4G receiver and, at any time, directly over the USB-C cable. You switch between them with FN combinations, without re-pairing anything.
02The 60% format — where F1–F12, arrows and Delete are
This is the first question anyone asks when using a 60% keyboard for the first time: "where are the missing keys?". They are not missing — they live on the FN layer: hold Fn (bottom right) and press the indicated key. The hidden functions are printed in small type on the keys themselves.
The keyboard does have physical arrow keys in the bottom-right corner — no FN needed for those.
- FN + rândul cifrelor (1…=)
- F1 … F12 — the function keys, in order from 1 to =
- FN + Backspace
- Delete
- FN + J
- Insert
- FN + K
- Home
- FN + , (virgulă)
- End
- FN + L
- Page Up
- FN + . (punct)
- Page Down
- FN + U
- Print Screen
- FN + I
- Scroll Lock
- FN + A / S / D
- Left / down / right arrows (alternative to the physical arrows)
03Connection — BT1, BT2, BT3, 2.4G and cable
The connection modes are printed on the keys themselves, on the Tab row: W = USB cable, E = BT1, R = BT2, T = BT3, Y = 2.4G. Each Bluetooth channel remembers one device, so you can have the PC on 2.4G and three devices on Bluetooth at the same time.
- 1TURN THE KEYBOARD ON with the switch on the back/side and make sure it has charge (if it will not start, charge it for 15 minutes with the USB-C cable).
- 2CABLE MODE: connect the USB-C cable to the keyboard and the computer, then press FN + W. It works instantly, with no battery use and no lag — the recommended mode for gaming.
- 32.4G MODE: plug the USB receiver from the box into a computer port and press FN + Y. It connects automatically within seconds.
- 4BLUETOOTH MODE: hold FN + E for 3 seconds, until the indicator blinks fast — the keyboard is pairing on channel BT1.
- 5On the laptop/phone open Settings → Bluetooth and pick "NETSTAT" (or "Keyboard") from the list. If a code is requested, type it on the keyboard and press Enter.
- 6For the second and third device, repeat with FN + R (BT2) and FN + T (BT3), from those devices.
- 7SWITCHING later between devices: press FN + E / R / T / Y SHORTLY. Held for 3 seconds, the channel re-enters pairing and loses the saved device.
- FN + W
- USB-C cable mode (no battery drain, no lag)
- FN + E
- Bluetooth 1 — short = switch; hold 3s = pair
- FN + R
- Bluetooth 2 — short = switch; hold 3s = pair
- FN + T
- Bluetooth 3 — short = switch; hold 3s = pair
- FN + Y
- 2.4G mode (the USB receiver from the box)
04RGB Lighting
The lighting is adjusted from the FN layer, with the arrow keys and the keys marked with the light symbol (❋).
- FN + ↑ / ↓
- Backlight brightness + / −
- FN + ← / →
- Lighting effect speed − / +
- FN + Enter
- Change the lighting effect
- FN + \
- Change the lighting colour
The lighting is by far the biggest battery drain. For maximum wireless runtime keep the brightness low or turn the lighting off; in cable mode you can leave RGB at maximum, since the keyboard is powered over USB.
05Key Combinations (FN)
- FN + 1
- Open the media player
- FN + 2 / 3
- Volume − / +
- FN + 4
- Rewind
- FN + 5
- Stop
- FN + 6 / 8
- Previous / next track
- FN + 7
- Play / Pause
- FN + 9 / 0 / − / =
- System functions printed on the keys (e-mail, browser, computer, calculator)
- FN + Z
- Windows mode
- FN + X
- Mac mode
- FN + Win (stânga)
- Locks the Windows key — no more dropping out of a game by pressing it accidentally
After switching Windows ↔ Mac mode (FN + Z / FN + X), the ⌘/Alt keys swap roles to match the system. If the keys seem swapped on a Mac, press FN + X.
06Battery and Charging
- Li-Po 2000 mAh battery (3.7 V, 7.4 Wh), recharged with the USB-C cable from the box.
- You can type normally while charging — in fact, in cable mode (FN + W) the keyboard runs straight off USB power.
- Runtime depends almost entirely on the lighting: with RGB off it lasts a long time, with RGB at maximum it does not.
- Switch the keyboard off when carrying it, so keys are not pressed inside the bag and drain the battery.
- If the keyboard will not start at all, leave it charging for 15–30 minutes before checking anything else.

09FAQ & Troubleshooting
- Nu găsesc tastele F1–F12 / Delete / Home
- They are on the FN layer: hold Fn (bottom right) and press the key with the function printed on it. F1–F12 are on the number row, Delete is FN + Backspace. See the "60% format" section.
- Nu se conectează pe Bluetooth
- Hold FN + E (or R / T) for 3 seconds, until the indicator blinks FAST. If the device still cannot see it, delete "NETSTAT" from the Bluetooth list and pair again.
- Merge pe cablu, dar nu și wireless
- You are still in cable mode. Unplug the cable and press FN + Y (2.4G) or FN + E / R / T (Bluetooth), depending on where you want to type.
- Bateria se termină repede
- The RGB lighting is the main drain. Lower the brightness with FN + ↓ or turn the lighting off; in cable mode the drain disappears entirely.
- Sare din joc când apăs din greșeală tasta Windows
- Lock the Windows key with FN + Win (the left Win key, marked with a padlock). Repeat the combination to unlock it.
- O tastă se apasă de două ori / nu răspunde
- Clean around the switch with compressed air. If the problem stays on the same key in cable mode too, it is a hardware fault — contact us for warranty.
10Where to find Bluetooth settings on a computer / phone
If this is your first time connecting something over Bluetooth, here is exactly where to click on each system. Do this AFTER you have put the product into pairing mode (the indicator is blinking).
- Windows 11
- Start → Settings → Bluetooth & devices → "Add device" → choose "Bluetooth" → click the product name in the list.
- Windows 10
- Start → Settings → Devices → Bluetooth & other devices → "Add Bluetooth or other device" → "Bluetooth" → click the product name.
- macOS (MacBook, iMac)
- Apple menu () top-left → System Settings → Bluetooth → click "Connect" next to the product.
- Android (telefon / tabletă)
- Settings → Connected devices → "Pair new device" → tap the product name. (On Samsung: Settings → Connections → Bluetooth.)
- iPhone / iPad
- Settings → Bluetooth → make sure it is on → tap the product name under "Other devices".
If the product does not show up: 1) check that the indicator really is blinking (if not, repeat the pairing combination); 2) keep the product under 1 metre away; 3) turn Bluetooth off and on again on the computer/phone; 4) turn off other nearby Bluetooth devices trying to connect at the same time.
11Typing different symbols than printed? (keyboard language)
If you press Y and Z appears, or the quotes and symbols do not come out where they are printed, the keyboard is NOT faulty. It is the language setting in the computer, which tells the system which keyboard it thinks you have.
The keyboard has standard Latin letters (QWERTY). Which symbol each press produces is decided by the operating system.
- Comută rapid între limbi
- Windows: hold the Windows key and press the Space bar (or left Alt + Shift). Mac: Ctrl + Space bar.
- Adaugă limba română (Windows 11)
- Settings → Time & language → Language & region → Add a language → "Romanian". For ă î â ș ț choose the "Romanian (Standard)" variant.
- Vrei semnele exact ca pe taste
- Choose the "English (United States)" layout — then every symbol comes out exactly where it is printed on the keyboard.
- Scrie DOAR cu majuscule
- Press the Caps Lock key once. The "A" indicator should go out.
12Technical Words, in Plain Language
If you came across a word in this manual that you do not know, here it is explained simply. You do not need to memorise them — just look here when you need to.
- Receptor (dongle) 2.4G
- The small piece of plastic that goes into the computer's USB port. It talks wirelessly to the product. Without it the 2.4G mode does not work — but the product still works over Bluetooth, if it has it.
- 2.4G
- A wireless mode that needs the receiver from the box. Upside: works instantly, no setup, and is the most stable. Downside: it uses a USB port and you need the receiver.
- Bluetooth
- A wireless mode that does NOT need a receiver — it connects straight to a laptop, phone or tablet. The first time it must be "paired"; after that it reconnects on its own.
- Asociere (pairing)
- The one-time introduction between the product and the device. The product makes itself "visible" (the indicator blinks), you pick it from the Bluetooth list, and from then on they know each other.
- USB-C (Type-C)
- The small oval plug that goes in either way up — the same as on modern phones. USB-A is the classic rectangular plug.
- Stand-by (adormire)
- After a few minutes of no use the product "falls asleep" so it does not drain the battery. It wakes on the first press or movement — that is why the first action is sometimes not registered. It is not a fault.
- Tasta FN
- The key that opens the keyboard's "second floor". Held down, the keys do something other than their big printed label — exactly what is drawn in small type.
- Switch mecanic
- Each key has its own physical spring-loaded switch. Hence the clear feel on press, the characteristic sound and a life of millions of presses.
- Tastatură cu membrană
- Under the keys there is a rubber membrane making the contact. The press is softer and far quieter than mechanical — suited to offices and shared spaces.
- Anti-ghosting
- You can hold several keys at once and all of them register correctly. It matters in games, where you hold move + jump + something else together.
- Layout 60% / TKL / full-size
- How big the keyboard is. Full-size has everything, including the number pad on the right. TKL has no number pad. 60% has neither the number pad nor a separate F1–F12 row — those come via FN.
- Num Lock
- Switches the right-hand number pad between "types digits" and "navigates" (arrows, Home, End). If you press 4 and the cursor moves left, press Num Lock.
13Safety — Read Once
- Do not take the product apart or try to repair it yourself — you void the warranty and you could get hurt.
- Keep it away from water, moisture and extreme temperatures (direct sun in a car, radiator, oven).
- Do not leave it within reach of very small children: small parts (the USB receiver, caps) can be swallowed.
- Use it only with the accessories from the box or good-quality equivalents.
- The battery is a built-in Li-Po. Do not pierce it, burn it or submerge it in water.
- Charge only with an ordinary phone cable and charger (5V). Do not use high-power or improvised chargers.
- If the product swells, gets very hot while charging or smells odd, stop charging immediately and contact us.
- Products with batteries must not go in household waste — take them to a WEEE collection point (most large stores have one).
